Umukohukohu Whetu 

I te ata hāpara o Tangaroa-mua i Te Tahi o Pipiri 2024, i hautapu umukohukohu whetū o ngā uri a Makino hei whakanui i te tau hou, 

This beautiful sunrise is what I saw the wonderful morning of our fourth Hautapu held at Pa Mourea, Otamarakau Marae, Pukehina, east coast of Aotearoa, New Zealand.

Matariki rose exactly over White Island, following the Tangaroa a mua Moon, ‘Te Waka a Tahurangi’ could clearly be seen, as the sun rose over the horizon.
